Bio
My interest areas are related to the physics of granular media. Especially in the propagation of mechanical impulses in dry and wet granular media, phase transitions in vibrated granular media, and numerical simulations using the Discrete Element Method (DEM).In the middle of 2021, I started my postdoctoral research in SMAT-C on different topics related to the physics of granular media. During this period, I have worked on the experimental study of the propulsion mechanism of the Namibian desert beetle (Tenebroinid Lepidochora Kahani), the propagation of mechanical vibrations in a granular chain with the addition of linear interaction between contacts, through a polymer with controlled elastic constant. And soon, the characterization of metamaterials was built using a polymer 3D printer.ExperiencePostdoctoral Position, SMAT-C, Universidad de Santiago (2021-present)Profesor agregado, Instituto de Física, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso (2020-2021) International doctoral thesis co-supervision between the Université de Cergy-Pontoise (currently called the Université de Cergy-Paris, UCP), Laboratoire QUARTZ, ISAE-SUPMECA, France and Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, Chili (2017-2021)AcademicPhD in physics, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso (2021)Docteur en mecanique, Université de Cergy-Paris, France (2021)Bachelor in Physics, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso (2015)
